Figge Offering Free Admission in July
Davenport, Iowa (Tuesday, June 27, 2023) – Summer has officially arrived, and the Figge Art Museum is turning up the temperature with an exciting offer: FREE admission during the month of July! Crank up the creativity and beat the heat this summer by immersing yourself in a world of art and experience all that the Figge has to offer.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Cal and Jill Werner, all visitors will gain free access to the exhibitions on view, including The Life & Art of Charles M. Schulz, Ansel Adams, The Sierra Club, and the Making of a Landscape Icon, Edouard Duval-Carrié: Endless Flight, Beyond the Classroom and Iowa Night Skies: Photographs by Johnny Brian as well as the Figge’s permanent collection galleries.

In addition to the superb exhibitions on view, the museum will be offering Big Picture in the House, a one-hour session of learning, exploring, and creating for all ages in the Figge’s Quad City Bank & Trust Grand Lobby. Sessions are taught by Figge Outreach educators and offered every Wednesday in July from 10-11 a.m. or 2-3 p.m. Register at www.figgeartmuseum.org for the FREE sessions.
Visitors will be able to begin their visit with the new Museum Adventure exhibition in the Gildehaus Gallery on the first floor. The space is all about encouraging guests to have active participation in their museum visit; to wonder, to look closely, play and choose your own museum adventure.

The Figge Art Museum is dedicated to bringing art and people together. Located on the Mississippi River in downtown Davenport at 225 West Second Street, the Figge is the premier art exhibition and education facility between Chicago and Des Moines. Its landmark glass building, designed by British architect David Chipperfield, is home to one of the Midwest’s finest art collections and presents world-class exhibitions, art classes, lectures, and special events that attract visitors of all ages.
