Figure drawing is held at the Figge every other Friday. These are facilitated classes, where the participants learn by practicing their skills and adapting to change. These are not instructed classes. Bring your own supplies. Registration required.

Hop outside with us to enjoy an evening of art and wine. In this session, create a mixed media box that showcases a moment in your life: a trip you enjoyed, your favorite saying, a treasured object or a memory you cherish.

Landscape Photography on Location
3-day Workshop | Wednesday, August 11, 6-8 p.m. at the Figge) | Saturday, August 14, 6:30-10:30 a.m. at Mines of Spain, Dubuque, IA | Saturday, August 21, 10 a.m.-Noon at the Figge

Travel to the Mines of Spain near Dubuque to photograph the landscape as part of this 3-day workshop. Learn how to design your landscape images using photographic elements to create your own landscape drama, where trees and boulders make up the main characters, supporting actors, background elements, and even props.

Refunds and Transfers

Cancellation and Schedule Changes

The museum reserves the right to cancel classes when minimum enrollment is not met one week prior to its starting date. In addition, changes may be made to the class and/or instructor listed. In event of inclement weather, call us at 563.345.6654 or watch the local television for updates. Alternate times for classes cancelled due to weather are at the discretion of the museum. All classes may not have the opportunity to reschedule.

The Figge Art Museum is the repository of the Grant Wood Collection and Archive. The archive contains 249 pieces of art and memorabilia collected by his sister, Nan, over a period of more than 60 years.
