This award-winning film follows artist Vik Muniz as he travels to the world's largest landfill in Jardim Gramacho, just outside Rio de Janeiro, to collaborate with a lively group of "catadores" (workers who salvage recyclable materials from the garbage) to make contemporary art using some of the materials they have "picked".

Figge instructor Laura Warner leads free, 30-minute sketch exercises inspired by works of art from the Figge’s collection. Add new drawings to your sketchbook or just doodle along with us as we explore a different prompt each session. (The Figge will provide free Sketchbooks, pencils and erasers for first session.) Sketchbook Club is recommended for families with children and individuals of all ages. Meet on the second floor near elevator.
