Internship Program
Overview
The Figge offers a variety of internships based on departmental need. Internships in the Education and Curatorial departments are designed for upper-level undergraduates, recent college graduates and graduate students who are studying arts administration, art history, education, museum studies and other fields. Visitor Services internships provide opportunities to expand management skills. Technical internships offer successful candidates a chance to gain practical experience in web design and database development.
The objective of the internship program is to offer practical experience to individuals interested in pursuing careers in art museums, art-related fields, and even technical fields. Interns gain a broad understanding of how a particular department functions within the context of the museum, as well as specific skills related to that department’s activities.
