The Golden Gala - Information

Tickets

Admission to the Golden Gala is only available through ticket purchase prior to the evening of the event.  Tickets are available for $125 each or can be purchased in a group of 10 for $100 each ($1000).  Ticket cost includes a wide variety of traditional Indian foods, an open bar, and entertainment throughout the evening - all held in a stunning setting as the museum is transformed for the event.  Each attendee will also receive a special golden tote - including a gift from the museum - a $50 store credit to Neckers Jewelers.  For ticket purchases, please call 563.326.7804.  Your tickets will be mailed to you or be made available for pickup as you prefer.

Food and Beverage

Experience traditional Indian cuisine as prepared by The Great Indian Restaurant and the local Indian community.  Sample dishes through the evening located at stations throughout the museum.  Whether you are a connoisseur or it is the first time your taste buds will experience this delicious food - you will be delighted by what you find!  Beverages will be served at several open bars until the evening ends. 

Entertainment

Enjoy the beauty of the Indian culture as you enter the Figge filled with the spirit of India.  Experience traditional dance by Mrs. Sreedevi Nair, instrumental performances by Manthan, and vocal performances by Mrs. Rinku Bhattacharya and Dr. Shashinath Chandrahasegowda.  Don't forget to stop and enjoy the grand opening of the exhibition When Gold Blossoms: Indian Jewelry from the Susan L. Beningson Collection.

Support the Museum

As you enjoy the evening, take part in one of several ways to further support future exhibitions and educational programming at the museum. 

 

Raffle - purchase a ticket for one of three raffle packages.  Only 200 raffle tickets are available for each package and are available for purchase from now through the evening of the event.  Raffle winners will be announced at 9:30 pm on the evening of the event.  Raffle tickets are $50 each and are item specific.  Tickets purchased before the event will be mailed or made available for pickup.  Need not be present to win.

  • Stock Your Cellar:  Acknowledge your inner wine connoisseur and build your collection with 50 bottles of fine wine donated by friends of the museum.
  • Seeing is Believing: Put aside your glasses when you win a bladeless Lasik procedure for one eye from Virdi Eye Clinic.
  • Backyard BBQ: Enjoy the sizzle of summer with a brand new John Deere gas grill, a meat bundle from Hy-Vee, and a number of other wonderful items to add spice to your life!  WInner will also receive an evening BBQ for 10 at the Figge with Director Sean O'Harrow.

Silent Auction - walk away with something wonderful!  Bid on dozens of items including a spa package from Five Star Salon, Art Glass by Mark Fowler and Fred DiFrenzi, exotic and locally made jewelry, golf encounters, local entertainment or even a Hawaiian getaway!  There is truly something for everyone. Winners will be announced at 8:45 pm.

 

Live Auction - Take home artwork from The Gilded Palette when you bid on original art created specifically for us by local and regional artists. -OR- Induldge your palate and bid on a gourmet dinner prepared by Mr. and Mrs. Andy & Debi Butler or Ishwar & Jaya Thakkar.  Live Auction begins at approximately 9 pm.
