The Education Department presents exhibitions and installations in these galleries to encourage creativity and visual art appreciation.
Family Activity Center
This themed activity space encourages young visitors and their caregivers to explore the visual arts through experimentation with a variety of art materials. The colorful, whimsical installation focuses on the elements of art and principles of design. Student groups are welcome.
Community Gallery
Art education is the focus of this gallery. Artwork created by K-12 students and artist-educators is presented, as well as exhibitions that teach the community about the visual arts.
Learn to Look Gallery
Art appreciation is the focus of this gallery. Quarterly displays, which feature two works of art from the permanent collection, help Figge visitors build art vocabulary and encourage them to look closely at works of art. Installations are designed for adults, but the content would be appropriate for grades 6 and up.
